World Archery - World Archery is the largest sanctioning organization. Their main focus is Olympic Style competition and USA Archery sanctions according to their guidelines.

USA Archery - USA Archery is responsible for directing all Olympic Style competitions in the United states as well as overseeing the training of coaches and shooters in the organization. USA Archery also runs the USA Archery Team trials each year to determine the archers that go on to represent USA in the World events.

International Bowhunters Organization (IBO) - Is the international sanctioning body that focuses primarily on 3-D competitions. They have several National tournament legs and a World event every year.

National Field Archery Association (NFAA) - NFAA is a target shooting organization that focuses more from the bow-hunting perspective. They sanction indoor, field/hunter rounds, and 3-D as well here in the United States.

ASA Federation -  Is another 3-D focused organization who sanction many tournaments of their own here in the United States.
